HardWhich Popular CD Burning App’s Name Is A Historical Pun?

Answer: Nero Burning ROM
Nero Burning ROM is a disc authoring application for Windows and Linux (from 2005 to 2012) that derives its name from an emperor that ruled almost 2,000 years before the application was first released.
In 64 A.D., a horrible fire swept through Rome, ultimately destroying two thirds of the city and leaving many thousands homeless. At the time of the fire, the Roman empire was under the rule of Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus.
Because of the speed with which Nero rebuilt Rome in the fashion he deemed fit, many questioned his motives, and many rumors circulated that he had either outright started the fires or allowed them to run unchecked in order to ravage Rome and allow him free reign to rebuild it the way he wanted.
Over time, these rumors coalesced into a phrase that is often repeated even today: Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
