HardMagneto’s Distinctive Helmet Is Modeled After A Real World Helmet Known As A?

Answer: Barbute
The helmet worn by Marvel universe character and X-Men antagonist Magneto—found in the comic books, cartoon adaptations, and movies—is quite distinctive. Although it certainly stands out in the modern age, however, the helmet has a long history.
Helmets just like Magneto’s were worn in Italy in the 15th century and featured a rounded top, a Y-shaped (or T-shaped) opening that accommodated the wearer’s eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as downward side extensions that framed the wearer’s face (cheeks). This helmet design allowed the user to wear a gorget, or armored collar, to further protect their neck.
There’s one area where the 15th century version and modern version worn by Magneto diverge. While the medieval version was intended to protect your brain, in a manner of speaking, it certainly didn’t have the telepathy-blocking powers that Magneto’s Professor-X-thwarting model does.
